About PhotoRevive AI

We believe restoring family memories should be free, fast, and completely private — so we built a restoration studio that lives entirely inside your browser.

A warm, quiet photo restoration workbench with old photographs, a scanner and a cup of tea

Our mission

PhotoRevive AI exists for one reason: to help ordinary people bring their faded, scratched and damaged old photographs back to life — without paying, without creating an account, and without surrendering their most private family memories to a cloud server. Every tool on this site is free and unlimited, and always will be for the tools that exist today.

Our story

It started with a box of fading prints: grandparents' wedding, a childhood summer, a graduation day that felt like it was slipping away. Those moments are irreplaceable, and watching them yellow and crack is quietly painful. At the same time, restoring them online usually means uploading intimate family photos to yet another company's server — with all the storage, sharing and security questions that come with it.

We asked a simple question: why should reviving a memory require handing that memory over? Modern browsers are powerful enough to do serious image work locally, so we built the tools we wished existed — a restoration studio that fixes your photos on your own device and never asks for a copy.

How it actually works

Technically, PhotoRevive AI is pure front-end software. When you load a tool, your photograph is drawn onto an HTML5 canvas and processed with local image-enhancement algorithms: white-balance correction, tonal/contrast stretching, median and box-blur denoising, unsharp masking, color and tone transforms, geometric warping and so on. There is no backend API, no image upload, no model server and no database of your pictures.

We also believe in being honest about what these tools can and cannot do. They enhance and repair the detail that is already in your scan — they do not invent missing faces, reconstruct torn-away content, or guess colors that are truly gone. If a photo is badly damaged, the best result is a clean, respectful restoration, not a fabricated image.

PhotoRevive Pro — live in a beta free period

Pro is no longer just a plan: the Pro tier is live and currently in a beta free period, so every Pro feature is unlocked for everyone. That includes:

  • Batch processing — queue dozens of photos, pick a repair or style mode, and download everything as a ZIP.
  • High-resolution & original export — full-input-resolution results and untouched originals.
  • Private local album — keep your restored favorites in a gallery that lives only on your device.

When the beta ends we may introduce paid Pro membership, but every tool currently on this site will remain free, unlimited and local — no paywall will ever be placed on the restoration you already use.
